During the Covid-19 pandemic and going into the future, podiatry practice is going to change. We do not always know what those changes will be but the Foot Clinic will do everything it can to keep clients and practitioners safe.
Changes will updated here
Changes to practice
Treatments resumed in May 2020 and so far we have managed to treat all our existing and many new patients without any incident - I would like to keep it that way
With new restrictions coming into force in England in October 2020, that are moe localised, the Foot Clinic will update any sigificant changes via the website, its Facebook page and via e-mail.
There are currently no restrictions on our practice or who can attend the clinic. this also applies to our Chiropody in the Home service.
Currently...
Everyone making a booking will be triaged for COVID 19 symptoms. This will happen in one of two ways
Online form to complete - this will be sent with text reminders and should be completed for every appointment.
If this is not possible ...
In person - I will ask you about your health and that of your family to establish whether it is appropriate to offer treatment. Please be honest - my health, my family and yours are all at risk is you do not take the necessary precautions.
When you arrive
Wear a face covering
Use hand sanitiser
Do not wear gloves! They may protect your hands but they do not offer any protection to my clinic. Take them off and sanitise your hands
If you are new the staff in the salon will direct you to my clinic room. Otherwise please make your way to my clinic rooms.
Hand sanitiser is provided for you in the waiting area - on the wall by the clinic door - and in the clinic.
My clinic is sanitised with Clinell wipes - the chair you sit in, the doors and the waiting room chair are all sanitised before you arrive. My floor is swept, my work surfaces are also sanitised. it takes time so please be patient.
If you arrive and I have someone in the clinic, wait in our new waiting area, not in the corridor. Please make room for the person leaving - you should both me wearing face coverings, but making room to pass by is advisable.
Above all, we want your visit to be hassle free, safe and welcoming. I hope that my procedures make for a smooth and pleasant visit to your podiatrist
